A man was killed this morning in a terrible accident involving a big rig and a UCSF shuttle bus colliding at Octavia and Oak in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco.

According to reports, the collosion, which occured at 6:20 AM, appears to have involved a big rig transporting a number of cars, and a shuttle taking UCSF employees to San Francisco General Hospital. A passenger on the shuttle was killed when he was apparently ejected from the vehicle and pinned under the big rig. Three other passengers suffered non-critical injuries. At this time the accident is still under investigation.

Our thoughts go out the family of the deceased passenger, and to those injured in the accident. Often times these cases are due to negligence on behalf of one of the parties. The Dolan Law Firm has handled a number of cases involving trucker negligence. However it remains to be seen which party was the cause of the collision. Unfortunately trucking accidentes are all to common in California, as it is consistently one of the top three states for fatal truck accidents with an average of 5000 trucks per year involved in such wrecks.

Over the years our firm has represented thousands of people who suffered serious injuries, and families who have lost a loved one to wrongful death in car crashes in Oakland, San Jose, Alameda, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and San Francisco.
